Half asleep, today morning as was walking down my house building ready for office; my shoes were giving me a unusual feeling… Yet felt like something that I have felt earlier… I came to office and to my seat I untied the shoe lace, removed shoes and it looked all clean… Even shook the shoe toe side up and tried to empty it out to check if there was something in there… Nothing!!! Under the effect of sleep, I ignored it off… Wore them again… Switched on monitors, logged in and started with the same Microsoft Outlook with a few hundred unread mails sitting in my inbox!!!

Though my shoes were getting more sensitive with time, I Ignored it for a while and then forgot about it completely as I got in work… I love my job and work ;-) But something was really unusual in there… I suddenly felt a move in the right shoe… And by now the nervous system of my legs was so alert that it even gave me a jerk… I stayed unmoved for few seconds… Trying to track the movement in my shoe… No movement at all… Something in there was acting smart…

That’s it!!! I had to find what was moving in there… Assuming it was some bug or insect in there and I don’t hurt it, I slowly removed my shoe… Shook it slowly like earlier… Still Nothing… Then banged the heal end of the shoe on the floor lightly… Then a bit hard… Still Nothing… Took the shoe up and tried to peek in… Could not see anything… A bit hesitant but put my hand inside… Then a bit more confidently rotated inside to best feel all the ends… Irritated, I banged the shoe 2-3 times… STILL NOTHING!!!

Took the shoe up in my hand and on the desk to take a closer look… (There are not many people around in office at 7:30 AM)… Saw a couple of intermittent sparkles… The little light sparkles were good enough to light a bulb in my sleeping head!!! Moved my attention towards my socks… And removed them… And saw more of those small sparkles spread scarcely over my foot… Moved my foot in air right-left to see sparkles shooting from different areas of foot… It was sand!!!

Yes, they were the same set of socks that I was wearing when we did the Jaisalmer Desert Safari in Rajasthan!!!

Just thought of sharing this incident before I start writing about the Rajasthan trip… :)

Rajasthan Trip apart from anything else, a trip that fulfilled my childhood dream to see real sand, sand dunes, sand-n-sand and only sand all around… A real long self-planned trip to spend time with friends… And a good LOOOOONG Camel ride until I myself feel like getting off the Camel!!! Unlike childhood when Camel rides were too short… I always thought that the Camel walked a bit faster for me because I was thin and small and lightweight and hence my paid round on Camel back was very short in time than others…

Yes, the place left a deep impression in my heart… I too left back an impression before I left… ;-)

PS: Btw, for people who are thinking otherwise about the pair of socks, just to clarify; the pair of socks were indeed washed by my maid at home after the trip, before I wore them again… :D
